The North American Model Engineering Society (NAMES) is dedicated to promoting the hobby of model engineering by sponsoring the annual North American Model Engineering Exposition.

  We look forward to seeing you at our 21st Annual Model Engineering Exposition which will be held April 24-25, 2010 at the Southgate Civic Center, in Southgate, Michigan. We will have over 30,000 square feet of exhibit space available. Admission to the show is $9.00 with kids 12 and under FREE. Don't miss our operating 1 1/2 inch scale railroad!  As always we will have compressed air to operate model steam engines.  Model gasoline and hot air engines will also be operating. Many suppliers of model engineering items will be present.  Bring the whole family for a wonderful day enjoying the model engineering hobby.

Study of Steam Power Course Announced

Once again the North American Model Engineering Society will be sponsoring the Study of Steam Power Course April 19-22, 2010.  The course will be taught by Tom Stockton and provides everything you need to know about steam power whether you are an avid steam modeler, antique steam buff or just interested in learning about all aspects of steam power.  Tom covers the basic scientific principles, boilers, engines, valve gears, safety and many other interesting topics.  For more information about the course and to reserve your space please call (419) 708-1366.
